finding the sparkling gems around the country - long term trust and synergy built up over years, ethical and fair outcomes for all

Category 1. The most popular let’s call them “normal climate” regions from around Australia including the big heavyweights of Aussie wine excellence.

We are lucky top have been selected to represent some very respected names in the business from heritage wine families in the elevated McLaren Vale Hills and Eden Valley and Barossa Valley/Adelaide Hills, Yarra, Mornington, Grampians on to Margaret River, Hunter Valley, and many other classic Aussie wine regions.

It’s all about the meridian or so called perfect wine growing climate band and weather patterns and of course the soil and other factors. Not to mention the early Oz and European wine making pioneers who chose these areas as being “just like home”

Category 2. Then we come to some specialised regions with OZ/NZ “cool climate” wines really making headway these days as many search for more subtle classy gentle wines that can only be made with the grapes slightly chilled along the way.

There is however plenty of warm hearted passionate wine making in these outstanding areas by some very special ethical and organic folk who are in a way emulating the great regions of old world europe right here at home.

the result is stunning and wines of this ilk are only really found in these regions. eg. Orange, Mudgee, Tassy, New Zealand, Southern Highlands, Young, Canberra area, Hilltops and beyond.

Exceptional Pinot’s, Whites, gentle and full bodied reds, sweet delights of dessert and fortifieds and varieties you can only grow in such a subtle area, Zinfandel, La Grain, Barbarossa, Sav Blanc.

Old world Wines are amazing and should be a big part of any wine lovers education and experience. There is a lot to learn from the “Old World” (eg. Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, South America, etc)

Not to mention emerging old world regions , China,  India, Middle East etc, But here’s the thing , wine making is mainly determined by climate compatibility to viticulture as an organic product. Just Like Eskimo’s don’t like hot Oz summers, great wines struggle if its too hot above “temperate or less and if the soil has little sustenance or elegant nutrition for the desired style and variety.

Parts of Australia present an ideal place to make wines and it shows. Thats why we focus on bringing you OZ/NZ finest drops.

It is also worth the time to study the really famous regions of Europe and learn from the history and excellence that makes for another whole level of enjoyment. Champagne is an example of a very controversial variety and protected by trademarks and many hundreds of years of artisan specialising – the “sparkling” wines of OZ are pretty good but French and other bubbles are stunning.

Just a few examples of some of the high quality – great value popular and fast selling current lines. See Testimonials and supplier sites for tasting notes.
